Set to hit the market at a mere $35,000, Tesla’s new Model 3 has been designed with no knobs, buttons, or gauges. Next to the steering wheel there is a touch-screen where the driver can manage the vehicle’s controls and receive data.

The Model 3 is replete with full autonomy, so dirvers will have less to do than ever before as they are transported to their destinations by a fully functional AI system.

Production is set to ramp up this year. Elon Musk has said of the Model 3:

Looks like we can reach 20,000 Model 3 cars per month in Dec” (via Twitter)

The vehicle’s roof is comprised almost entirely of two pieces of glass, and the dashboard of one long piece of wood.

Tom Randall of Bloomberg has written: “after taking one of the first drives of Tesla’s new Model 3, I came away thinking that CEO Elon Musk has finally delivered an electric car for the everyday road tripper like me.” Link.

Musk plans to sell hundreds of thousands of cars by next year, a clear sign the automaker is advancing into Mercedes and BMW turf.
